Marisa Cuomo

This estate is situated in the municipality of Furore, 500 metres up from the Sea, on the Amalfi Coast. The soil is made of Dolomitis limestone rock and cultivation system is "pergola" with the vines often planted on vertical rock faces. The vinification process uses the latest techniques, whilest ageing takes place in barriques stored in an old cellar dug directly into the cool, damp rock entrusted to the passage of time. This impervious and rugged area must be considered among the great up-and-coming terroirs, and Marisa Cuomo the leading winery.

Costa D'Amalfi Fiorduva D.O.C.

The symbol of the Costa D'Amalfi won its 5th consecutive "Tre Bicchieri" award with the '08 vintage. Fenile 30% Ginestra 30% Ripoli 40%. Made from late-harvest, super ripe grapes aged for 3months in barriques. Bright yellow with golden hues. On the nose, apricots with a hint of tropical fruit. Smooth, dense, characterised by an aromatic persistence of dried apricots, sultanas and candied fruit. Concentrated, dry, full palate that will keep developing.

Suggest: Meat, fish- John Dory, shellfish, and medium aged cheeses.

Costa D'Amalfi Furore Bianco D.O.C.

60% Falanghina. 40% Biancolella Grapes are hand picked. Dull, straw yellow in colour. The aroma is of delicate fruit reminiscent of the unmistakeable Mediterranian scents. The flavour is pervasive and balanced, with a good level of acidity supporting the freshness and aromas of the wine.

60% Falanghina 40% Biancolella. Hand picked grapes. Pale, straw yellow with greenish tints. Characteristic fruity aroma mixed with floral notes. Balanced flavour sustained by a slightly acidic note which enhances  its aromatic freshness.

Suggest: All fish based dishes, risottos, white meats.

50% Piedirosso and 50% Aglianico. Hand picked grapes. A stunning rose coloured wine that exudes fresh red fruit. On the palate, a dry full bodied wine which has good length and freshness due to well balanced fruit and acidity.

50% Piedirosso 50% Aglianico. Hand picked grapes are aged for 1 year in new French oak barriques. Dark ruby red with intense aromas of blackberries,brambles and blackcurrants. Smooth, Well-balanced taste with an aromatic finish of brushwood and spices.
